Lawyers from Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield offices are to swing into action next month - when they take part in a special golf tournament to raise funds for South Yorkshire charity Lost Chord.
The national law firm’s team, led by partner David Urpeth, will also be sponsoring the first tee at the event at Rotherham Golf Club on Friday, May 24, to help boost the fundraising activities at the event.
Lost Chord, which produces interactive music sessions to stimulate and engage people with dementia through song and dance, hopes to beat last year’s total of £2,300.
David said: “Lost Chord does an excellent job engaging people with dementia, and continues to expand as more and more residential care homes recognise the huge benefits such services offer.
“We have sponsored and taken part in the Lost Chord’s golf tournament since it started three years ago, and it’s a fantastic event with a great camaraderie between the teams, so we are looking forward to teeing off again.”
