Law firm helps school by giving cash to pay for new library books
BOOKWORMS at a Sheffield school have even more choice after a law firm donated cash to help it fill its new library.
David Urpeth, partner at Irwin Mitchell, visited Beighton Nursery Infant School to hand over the 1,000 donation to help buy new books.
Headteacher Anne Thwaites said: "Reading is so important to a child's development at this age so it is fantastic that we now have a complete library full of great new books to encourage the children to read."
Mr Urpeth said: "Irwin Mitchell is fully committed to supporting education and attainment in our local community and we work with a number of schools, colleges and universities to help support them.
"When we heard that Beighton Nursery Infant School's library was in desperate need of replenishment we were keen to get involved and support the development. On a personal level I am also keen to support reading as one of my earliest school memories is of being able to choose a book to read from the library."
