Firefighters have spent the night dealing with a blaze in Doncaster involving 16,000 bales of hay.
The fire at Bay Villa farm, Sorrell Lane, Fishlake, was discovered just before 7pm yesterday and there are still firefighters at the scene this morning.
It was initially thought that 6,000 bales of hay - 8,000 tonnes - were involved in the fire, but firefighters now believe 16,000 bales went up in flames.
They are allowing the flames to burn out, with their priority to protect neighbouring properties.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: "On arrival, crews found approximately 16,000 bales of hay well alight.
"Thorne and Askern attended the incident with support from neighbouring fire services in Goole and Snaith.
"Together they have worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control. Efforts are still ongoing."
