Jason Slinn, 47, of Charlesworth Street, Bolsover. Pleaded guilty to damaging a steel hinge belonging to Action Housing. Fined £80 and must pay £198 compensation and a £30 victim surcharge and £100 costs.

Keith Turner, 29, of Cross Street, Grassmoor, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to entering as a trespasser a dwelling and stealing meat. Must pay £15 compensation. Admitted committing an offence while subject to a community order for three thefts. Community order revoked. Dealt with for the original offences which were subject to a community order of three thefts including stealing meat and fish from Lidl, and twice stealing detergents and coffee belonging to Nisa. Committed to prison for 20 weeks.

David John Williams, 44, of Sheffield Road, Whittington Moor, Chesterfield. Found guilty of being the owner of a dog which was dangerously out of control and injured someone. Fined £210 and must pay £500 compensation and a £30 victim surcharge and £300 costs. The dog must be destroyed unless it is kept under control in public by being kept on a lead and muzzled and precautions are maintained to secure the property and prevent the dog from escaping.
