Assault

Anthony David Smith, 26, of Lings Crescent, North Wingfield, Chesterfield, Pleaded guilty to assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty. Fined £154 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Linda Matthews, 50, of Salisbury Avenue, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Committed to prison for nine weeks suspended for 12 months. Must pay £100 compensation and an £80 victim surcharge and £100 costs.

Michael Andrew Brown, 44, of Derby Road, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Community order to last until July 19, 2017, with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 180 hours of unpaid work. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £400 costs.

Drugs

David John Allen, 38, of No Fixed Abode. Indicated a guilty plea to possessing a quantity of amphetamine. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay a £20 victim surcharge.

Alex Connor Burton, 18, of Whitmore Avenue, Grassmoor, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging furniture. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Restraining order to last until July 14, 2018. Must pay £250 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Laura Ann Naylor, 33, of Charlesworth Street, Bolsover. Pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody. Failed to comply with supervision requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment by failing to report to the relevant officer and failed to provide proof of absence. Committed to prison for 21 days.

Joseph Daniel Dickens, 26, of Longacre Road, Dronfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a front downstairs window. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £200 costs. Non-payment of fine of £2,356 and non-payment of a fine of £327. Committed to custody of 40 days suspended.

Amy Armstrong, 23, of Springvale Close, Danesmoor, Chesterfield. Found guilty to using a TV receiver without a licence. Fined £80 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and costs of £160.

Luke Anthony Twigg, 23, of North Side, New Tupton, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a window. Must pay £150 compensation and a £115 victim surcharge. Admitted having been arrested by a constable for breaking a bail condition, namely not to go to an address. Bail revoked. Admits committing a further offence during a suspended sentence for an offence of theft. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence relating to the suspended sentence of stealing Park Christmas saving vouchers to the value of £450. Committed to prison for 14 weeks.

Paul Aaron Wells, 32, of No Fixed Abode. Admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed following release from imprisonment in that he has failed to attend with a supervising officer and failed to provide reasons for absence. Pleaded guilty to stealing a tub of coleslaw belonging to Lidl. Committed to prison for 14 days.

Shelley Tansley, 35, of Ash Grove, Shirebrook. Indicated a guilty plea to two counts of failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change of circumstances affecting entitlement to Carers Allowance namely that her earnings were above the permitted limit for a claim of this type. Community order to last until July 17, 2017, with 70 hours of unpaid work. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Complaint for a football banning order because it is alleged that the respondent has caused or contributed to violence or disorder in the UK, namely on January 23, 2016, after the Chesterfield FC v Millwall FC fixture, he allegedly engaged in disorder. Granted. Football banning order made for four years.

Craig Andrew Booker, 39, of Malson Way, Newbold, Chesterfield. Admitted failing to comply with a community order in that his behaviour was deemed unacceptable. Order varied and to continue with a curfew for six weeks.
