The latest Chesterfield magistrates’ court results as published in the July 14 edition of the Derbyshire Times are listed below.

Motoring

Noel Hartley, 57, of Lakeside Close, New Whittington, Chesterfield. Found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £481 and must pay a £48 victim surcharge and £300 costs. Disqualified from driving for six months.

Anthony James Moore, 35, of Brooklyn Drive, Brockwell, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £350 and must pay a £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for five years.

David Ian Jones, 51, of Greenbank Drive, Chesterfield. Found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £150 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £150 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points. Committed to prison for seven days in default of payment of £320 because it is felt that it would be unlikely he would remain at an address in the UK long enough to make other methods of enforcement.

Ben Starr, 26, of Woodside Avenue, Ripley. Found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £660 and must pay a £66 victim surcharge and £150 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Edward James Pykett, 41, of Mettesford, Matlock. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Community order to last until July 3, 2017, with a four week curfew with electronic monitoring and 80 hours of unpaid work. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 24 months.

Ross Layden, 31, of Charlesworth Street, Carr Vale, Bolsover. Pleaded guilty to two counts of taking a vehicle without the consent of the owner. Must pay £115 compensation. Pleaded guilty to using a vehicle without insurance. No separate penalty. Driving record endorsed with six points. Indicated a guilty plea to having a knife in a public place without good reason. Committed to prison for 16 weeks.

Kristian James Allen, 21, of New Street, North Wingfield, Chesterfield. Proved in absence that he failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £660 and must pay a £66 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Ian Michael Barratt, 45, of Market Street, Ironville. Proved in absence that he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £660 and must pay a £66 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for six months.

Kyle Mitchell, 25, of Talbot Crescent, Hasland, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to using a vehicle without insurance. Fined £120 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points. Pleaded guilty to using a vehicle without a test certificate. No separate penalty.

Justin Mark Nussey, 33, of Langwith Road, Shirebrook. Admits failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to perform work as directed. Order to continue but varied and must now complete 200 hours of unpaid work by March 7, 2017. Pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle while disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence. Committed to prison for 18 weeks suspended for 24 months with a Thinking Skills Programme and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 24 months. Pleaded guilty to using a vehicle without insurance. No separate penalty.

Theft

Martin Joseph Neil, 40, of Pear Tree Drive, Shirebrook. Pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of vodka valued at £13 belonging to a Co-op Store. Fined £80 and must pay a £13 compensation and £85 costs. Pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody. No separate penalty.

Craig Anthony Dixon, 30, of Thorntree Court, Chesterfield. Admits failing to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order. Dealt with for the original offences which were subject to the suspended sentence including stealing two gift vouchers and stealing a further gift voucher. Suspended sentence of 12 weeks custody suspended for 24 months implemented and activated.

Other

Jack Thomas Singleton, 20, of James Street, Newbold, Chesterfield. Admits failing to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offences which were subject to the suspended sentence order including entering a flat as a trespasser and stealing Nike Air Max trainers valued at £115, an assault, sending an electronic communication which conveyed a threat and damaging a door. Suspended sentence implemented as ten weeks of custody.

Graham Green, 56, of Chapel Street, Brimington, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in public. No separate penalty. Pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer. Community order to last until June 30, 2017, with a three month curfew and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay £25 compensation and an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Alan Davison, 37, of No Fixed Address. Indicated a guilty plea to possessing heroin. Indicated a guilty plea to undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen goods, namely a bike helmet. Pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody. Committed to prison for six weeks and must pay an £80 victim surcharge.

Joanne Holland, 37, of Prospect Road, Pilsley, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a vehicle. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay £300 compensation and £85 costs.

Steven Wilson, 48, of Dale Road, Matlock Bath. Pleaded guilty to having a knife in public without good reason. Discharged conditionally for two years. Must pay a £20 victim surcharge.

David Ian Carty, 32, of Sheffield Road, Stonegravels, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a door. Fined £120 and must pay £50 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge.

Conor Dolan, 21, of Sedgewick Street, Jacksdale. Pleaded guilty to damaging a window, chair and plant pot. Fined £230 and must pay £230 compensation and £85 costs.

Paul Chapman, 47, of No Fixed Address. Admits failing to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following release from detention by failing to attend appointments, keep in touch with the supervisor and failed to attend approved premises and to obtain prior permission to stay at a different address and failed to be of good behaviour. Committed to prison for 14 days.

Assault

Steven Coates, 34, of Farndale Avenue, Walton, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assault. Fined £540 and must pay £50 compensation and a £54 victim surcharge and £310 costs.

Adam Weaver, 31, of North Street, Clay Cross. Pleaded guilty to assault. Fined £450 and must pay £50 compensation, a £54 victim surcharge and £310 costs.

Richard Harry Musgrove, 36, of Talbot Crescent, Hasland, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assaulting Superintendant James Allen in the execution of his duty. Committed an offence while subject to a community order for assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty. No action taken on the breach. Pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. No separate penalty. Pleaded guilty to damaging a windscreen of a Renault Clio to the value of £60. Must pay £60 compensation. Committed to prison for ten weeks suspended for 12 months.
