Does anyone knows what has happened to the Curator’s House tea rooms at the Botanical Gardens? The once hugely popular tea rooms have been closed since November and there seems to be no sign of it opening soon.
I went to the Botanical Gardens, only to discover a very desolate, lifeless place; cafe closed, information point closed, toilets closed. The (very quiet, yet welcoming) shop was the only place open. Edinburgh and Birmingham Botanical Gardens put Sheffield’s to shame!
What on earth is wrong with the council that they can’t manage facilities properly at landmark sites in the city? Why are these tea rooms closed when there are so many people who are ready to spend in there yet are forced to go elsewhere?
Why is a potentially lucrative business unit that could generate wealth and provide jobs allowed to sit empty?
Those responsible should be brought to book.
