Feminism is going back to its roots at a festival in Sheffield.
Discussions, workshops and live music will be on offer during ‘grassroots’ event LaDIYfest, now in its third year.
Speakers will tackle a series of issues such as the Lose the Lads Mags campaign during a day of talks at the Quaker Meeting House in St James Street on Saturday, November 30.
There will also be practical skill sessions giving women the chance to try their hand at T-shirt printing and sound engineering. A line-up of bands will then take to the stage in Solly Street’s Redhouse bar in the evening.
There is a suggested donation of £8 for both events, but it is not compulsory. Proceeds will be donated to women’s charities in Sheffield.
