Labour score an own goal

Have your say

What a shame Labour politicians in Walkley try to turn the campaign to open a new Post Office on South Rd into a party political issue (Feb 1).

We supported Gary Levitt in his bid to open a Post Office and I make no apology for us telling people about it.

If Labour wants to score points then I’m afraid on the issue of Post Offices they score an own goal: they closed 2,500 local Post Offices in the UK when in Government, just like the one we used to have in Walkley that local people want to replace.

Coun Curran should know, as he campaigned against them with local Lib Dems before he dropped all his principles and took the Labour Party shilling.
