Labour Party members in Sheffield have launched a petition challenging Nick Clegg to explain his low voting record in parliament.

The Lib Dem MP for Sheffield Hallam has attended less than 15 per cent of votes in the House of Commons since the last General Election in May.

The ‘Where’s Clegg?’ petition was set up on Facebook by members of the Labour Party in the Sheffield Hallam constituency.

Chairman of Hallam Labour Party Andy Belfield said: “Nick Clegg has missed debates on things that matter to Sheffield, including the crisis in the steel industry, devolution for Sheffield and the European referendum.”

The petition calls on Mr Clegg to make public his diary and whereabouts. So far it has 42 signatures. Visit www.sheffieldhallamlabour.org.uk/wherescleggpetition.
