A SET of top quality chef knives have been stolen in a Doncaster burglary and police are keen to trace them.
The daylight burglary happened last Thursday at a house on Melton Mill Lane, High Melton, while the property was unoccupied.
The owner returned to find the back door had been forced open and property taken.
Police want to trace the valuable Kai Shun knives in a case and ask the public to be vigilant if they are offered them for sale.
Acting Insp Amanda Hunter said: “I want to reassure the public that we do not believe these knives have been taken to cause injury to anybody. They are quite distinctive and we believe whoever stole them will try to sell them on.”
