A MAN who fatally stabbed a teenager on a Sheffield street has been convicted of his murder.
Danny Parr, aged 21, knifed 19-year-old Jamie Stuart on Holgate Avenue in Parson Cross, piercing his heart with the blade.
He bragged about the killing in text messages and showed the knife to pals afterwards.
Jamie, from Ecclesfield, was attacked while making his way home from a birthday party, and died from his injuries in the Northern General Hospital.
Parr admitted manslaughter, but denied murder.
Jurors took two-and-a-half hours to find him guilty of murder by unanimous verdict.
He was due to be sentenced this morning at Sheffield Crown Court.
Parr was standing trial for the second time over Jamie’s murder. The first jury failed to reach a verdict in January this year, so a retrial was ordered.
Parr stabbed Jamie four times. One of the blows was so forceful it went through the breastbone and into the victim’s heart. The murderer - who handed himself in to police afterwards - told jurors Jamie had been involved in a dispute with his cousin.
