DOZENS of children enjoyed a fun day held at their Sheffield housing estate - with arts and crafts, games and cake decorating among the entertainment.
Building contractor Kier Sheffield organised the event on the Lansdowne and Leverton estates, on the edge of the city centre.
It included an appearance by the company’s mascot, Kieran.
The Bike Doctor helped to carry out free repairs to children’s cycles.
Around 25 families and their children attended.
Kier regional managing director for maintenance, Simon Bullen, said: “This event was a great opportunity for Kier to improve understanding and relationships with residents and tenants in the local community.
“We look forward to many more events to be held over the next year.”
The company regularly helps organise community events as part of its role providing day-to-day repairs and maintenance for Sheffield’s 42,000 council houses.
Every child who attended on the day left with a selection box of sweets and chocolates courtesy of Kier.
Food and drink was also provided and there was entertainment on the estates.
