Kids get sun safety lesson
EVEN bears need to care when they stray out into the sun - as youngsters at a Sheffield nursery learned during a lesson on summertime safety.
Sunshine Sam visited the Snowdrops Pre-school in Broomhill along with Carol Harop, a suncare consultant from Boots.
Children learned all about safety in the sun and the importance of covering up and applying sun screen during warm weather.
"We invited Sunshine Sam into school as it was Sun Safety Awareness Week. The children enjoyed the session and hopefully they will remember it if the weather ever gets warmer!" a school spokeswoman said.
