A CHARITY supporting a children’s hospice in Rotherham has been honoured at the inaugural Technology 4Good awards in London.
Lifelites, which supports Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in North Anston, was presented with the Accessibility and Best in Show awards at the event hosted by BT. They had more than 250 nominations from charities, government, businesses, and schools, as well as votes from the 200 strong audience to clinch the awards.
The charity, which receives little government funding, provides a wide range of adapted computer, gaming, digital and TV equipment in hospices for terminally ill children allowing them to stay in touch with friends and family while receiving care.
It also provides free Sky and required telecoms connections.
