children from a Barnsley school helped identify speeding motorists in a project with police officers.

Youngsters from Keresforth Road School, Dodworth, joined forces with officers from the Dodworth and Old Town Safer Neighbourhood Team to identify drivers breaking the 30mph limit.

The children, aged eight and nine, used a speed board indicator and officers pulled over 20 motorists caught driving too fast. The drivers were then warned. PCSO Steve Jones of Dodworth and Old Town Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This operation was a great success.”
