On a bright Saturday morning I went for a walk through Meersbrook Park, when a large brown, barking dog bounded up to me.
Being nervous of dogs I was petrified and turned to hear a person 200 yards away shouting at me not to worry.
Too damn late. My heart was racing and I was shaking with shock.
This irresponsible woman had the temerity to tell me she was a responsible dog owner.
I feel sorry for the dog owners who have trained their dogs to walk to heel and not to chase after strangers. They are the real responsible dog owners. Here is a strong case for dogs to be on a leash when in public.
