BLOOD donors in South Yorkshire are being urged to keep their appointments over the summer, to meet the continued need for blood.
NHS Blood and Transplant in Swinton, Rotherham, has noticed an increase in the number of people failing to turn up for their appointments.
Those unable to make an appointment should let the service know, so someone else can have it.
The next session is on Monday at the Civic Hall in Swinton, and more donors are needed.
It runs from 1pm to 3.30pm and again from 4.30pm to 7.15pm.
Holly Mason, lead donor relations manager, said: “It can be easy to forget about appointments to donate blood, but we are asking you to attend if at all possible.”
