Rugby League fans are encouraged to take part in a charity walk along the Trans Pennine trail to protect the future of the game.
As part of a mass charity fundraising event, for the charity ‘Rugby League Cares’, walks are taking place along the Trans Pennine Trail.
Sections include a leg between Chesterfield and Darnall tomorrow, from Darnall to Penistone on Wednesday, and Penistone to Huddersfield on Thursday.
A final walk in Huddersfield takes place on Saturday.
The walks will raise money to help protect the game’s heritage, future and welfare of badly injured players.
People wanting to join the free event need to register via the Rugby League Cares website www.rugbyleaguecares.org/founderswalk and commit to raising funds for the charity.
