Join big run for charity
MARIE Curie Cancer Care is appealing to energetic types to grab a place in the Great Yorkshire Run and sign up as part of its Daffodil Team.
Thousands of people will pound the streets of Sheffield on Sunday September 6 for the 10km event, which brings together elite athletes, celebrities and fun runners.
Sheffield Marie Curie Cancer Care fundraiser Liz Howlett said: "Completing a Great Run is an amazing achievement, and the really great thing about the Great Yorkshire Run is the emphasis is on fun and having a go.
"I did it last year and had a fantastic time - the support around the course is amazing and really keeps you going.
"You also have the extra satisfaction of knowing every step you take is helping raise much-needed funds for local cancer patients."
