John's turn at Rotary

A RETIRED engineer has been chosen to head up the Hope Valley Rotary Club.

John Wood, from Grindleford, a works manager for a china clay company in Cornwall, joined the club five years ago when he and his wife Stella moved to the area.

He is a member of St Helen's Church in Grindleford and the Parochial Church Council.

John, who will support charities including the Edale Mountain Rescue Service and Macmillan Cancer Care, takes over from Alisma Clark. Senior vice president is Bamford property developer Jeff Lilley, junior vice president is Chris Kraushaar.
