JUST more than half of the current workforce at a Remploy factory would be retained under plans to sell it to a private company.
R Healthcare is in discussions to buy the factory, on Sheffield Road, Chesterfield, which currently has 70 staff.
About 40 people would keep their jobs.
The GMB and Unite trade unions, representing staff, are meeting on Tuesday to discuss the proposed sale.
James Stribley, GMB convenor, said members are concerned about possible deterioration of terms and conditions under the transfer.
