NO jobs will be lost at a South Yorkshire benefits office despite a decision to move some of its services to Glasgow.
The Department for Work and Pensions said alternative work would be carried out at the office in Barnsley and users would not notice a difference.
It follows concerns raised by Rotherham MP Denis MacShane.
A DWP spokeswoman said: “Frontline Jobcentre services are unaffected by this move, there will be no redundancies.
She said: “Claimants do not visit these offices so the location is not crucial.”
