JO O’Regan is taking the challenge of a lifetime – trekking to Everest base camp.
The 38-year-old is off to Nepal for the 17,000ft climb, to raise money for Sheffield-based charity Support Dogs, which trains seizure alert dogs.
Jo said she was inspired to take on the adventure after her nephew, Liam O’Connell, was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder.
Jo, from Worksop, whose dog Cisco has been helping her train in Clumber Park, Rother Valley and the Peak District. “This is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this.”
