A concert due to be held at Doncaster Racecourse featuring JLS star Aston Merrygold has been cancelled.
Organisers of Sunday Live have been forced to cancel the music event scheduled to take place at Town Moor on September 1.
MW Entertainments has announced the cancellation following news that Aston Merrygold, one quarter of successful British boyband JLS, is no longer able to attend due to unforeseen recording commitments.
Aston was due to perform a special DJ set alongside a number of guests at the event.
Sean Wallage at MW Entertainments, said: “It is with huge regret that after significant demand for tickets we have had to cancel Sunday Live due to unforeseen circumstances which are out of our control.
“We would like to apologise to all those who have purchased tickets for any disappointment and inconvenience caused, and can offer our assurances that full refunds will be made over the coming days.
“We are grateful for the support of our hosts Doncaster Racecourse for their understanding and assistance with processing refunds.”
Mark Spincer, managing director of Doncaster Racecourse which was set to host the event, said: “It is hugely disappointing for all concerned that MW Entertainments have had to cancel Sunday Live.
“Although this cancellation decision is completely out of our hands, the racecourse sympathises with all of those who were hoping to attend and will be processing refunds as quickly as possible.”
