CARERS are being praised for their hard work in a campaign launched in the run-up to Christmas by a South Yorkshire MP.
Labour politician Dan Jarvis, who represents Barnsley Central, will be out meeting individuals and people volunteering for charities and other organisations.
Mr Jarvis said: “My Care at Christmas campaign is about recognising the hard work and dedication of people that care for others.
“It’s about recognising the people who devote their working lives and often, their spare time, to help and support others; whether it be working in hospices or hospitals, or helping people at home.
“We are extremely fortunate to have incredible people providing care services.”
