A NEW apprenticeship programme for trainee accountants has been launched by Sheffield College – and is designed for students of all ages.
Six students have already been given a range of placements, including a secondary school, and haulage, marketing and letting companies.
The college itself has also taken on an apprentice in its finance department.
Apprentice Chloe Smith, 23, is working for Torlane Services, a haulage and industrial supplies company based in Rotherham.
Chloe said: “I want to know more about accounting and boost my skills and experience by gaining a formal qualification. I think apprenticeships are a great idea.”
