POLICE are today investigating a suspected arson attack at a Doncaster town centre flat.
When fire crews arrived at the blazing first floor flat above the Myth and Magic shop on Copley Road at 3am yesterday they found the door was already open.
The flat, which was not occupied, was well alight and severe damage was caused to the accommodation.
It is understood the current tenant had not been living there for some weeks.
Fire crews also forced entry to the ground floor premises to check that the fire had not affected downstairs.
They also ensured the fire did not spread to neighbouring buildings in the terrace.
Police and fire officers were due to return to the building yesterday to search for clues in the hunt for the arsonist.
