A SHEFFIELD girl who was run over by a car as she crossed a road on her scooter remains in hospital, in a critical condition.
The youngster was injured after she stepped out in front of a parked car into the path of a Vauxhall Astra travelling along Shirland Lane, Darnall, on Wednesday afternoon.
She suffered a life-threatening head injury, a broken leg and broken pelvis and was taken to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Police investigating the circumstances of the collision are trying to trace the driver of an old-style green Renault Clio which was nearby at the time of the collision.
Officers do not believe the Clio was involved but want to establish whether the driver or anyone else in the car saw what happened.
