SHEFFIELD Council’s highways improvement and maintenance programme is rolling out into Grimesthorpe and High Green.
Better street lighting will be installed and roads and pavements will be upgraded in a 20-week scheme due to start later this month.
“We are excited to roll out our highway improvement programme to more areas across the city,” said Councillor Jack Scott, Cabinet Member for Environment, Recycling and Streetscene. “The first improvements will include upgrading the street lights in Grimesthorpe and High Green as part of our commitment to make our streets look and feel safer.”
Graeme Symonds, for contract firm Amey, said: “Our work in High Green will focus on improving the condition of the local and residential roads.”
