Re your article on police parking illegally by Chris Burn: http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/crime/police-caught-on-camera-in-sheffield-apparently-flouting-parking-laws-to-pick-up-takeaways-and-post-letters-1-7231534
This is a fairly frequent occurence at the end of Fargate where officers then go into McDonalds for food. As with the complaints in Chris Burn’s article this is in clear breach of parking restrictions and which would result in a £60 fine for “ordinary” motorists so why not for police officers?
Having said that in image 2 (the red police car) there is no breach of the law as the lines are not complete having been worn away and any prosecution would therefore be unenforceable. The same in image 4 but that incident would at least also be an offence of obstructing the highway due to the car being on the pavement.
An interesting article but may be a more in-depth look at it would have been beneficial.
