If you don’t want a bus pass, don’t get one

Have your say

In reply to Jayne Grayson’s letter and Janet Ireland’s response regarding bus passes for pensioners, can I ask why is it always pensioners passes that are mentioned?

Can I remind these people that not only pensioners get them.

I have seen bus passes produced by all manner of people, from schoolchildren to pensioners and a selection of people from different walks of society.

I have never driven so always used public transport and for all of that time I have paid full fares.

I am 62, so it’s been quite a while and I begrudge people saying that I should have to pay towards my travel once or twice a week.

If you don’t think it’s a good idea to give bus passes out, just think on.

Nobody forced you to get yours and use it.
