Over recent months, I have been making a study of the work of a London-based architectural practice named Wallis, Gilbert & Partners. During the course of this research, I discovered that they had designed the ICI Fibres factory in Wheatley Hall Road, Doncaster, (the white building).
I paid a visit to Doncaster Library Local Studies Department and they have a set of excellent photos showing the building when it was newly constructed.
However, the library staff were unpleasantly patronising and TOTALLY unhelpful, so I would like to ask the readers if anyone has any photographs or details of this building and if they would be willing to supply me with copies or allow me to borrow material for copying.
I have tried the internet and surprisingly there is only one view of this building and that is taken from so far away it is impossible to see any detail of it.
