I’m overjoyed to be elected for Bessacarr

Have your say

I was really overjoyed to be elected to represent Bessacarr ward on Doncaster Council.

The election results bode well for Doncaster and for the UK. Across Doncaster the Conservative vote held up. The Conservatives now have a councillor in at least one ward in each of the three Doncaster constituencies. I was the first Conservative elected in Bessacarr in nearly a generation.

I would like to thank all 14 candidates because they fought conscientious and vigorous campaigns and this was reflected in the fairly high turnout in Bessacarr ward.

I would also like to thank the dozens of friends, family and fellow Conservative activists who helped with my campaign by knocking on doors and helping with leaflet delivery.

I think the DMBC team who administered the electoral process acted superbly under extreme pressure and they made everything run efficiently.

Finally, I want to thank the voters for putting their trust in me – I will endeavour to work hard to represent you.
