I’m concerned

Have your say

As a totally impartial observer regarding the election (I haven’t a clue who I will vote for though I have narrowed it down) several things concern me.

An Independent candidate is denied a place on the platform at Crookes while residents of Hillsborough who wished to hear candidates’ views had to travel to Christ Church at Pitsmoor (no disrespect to that community whose warmth I have experienced over recent months) but couldn’t something have been arranged in S6 as well?

The outcome of the election is possibly going to lead to disproportionate influence being welded and another step nearer to the break-up of something dear to many of us – the Union.

Is this the result of party politics, the EU, the ‘chattering classes’, the bubble in which much of the political establishment exists or is it the evolution of democracy?
