From my, admittedly, simple viewpoint, the £3.5 million spent on advisors (March 10) would have paid for quite a few potholes being filled in.
A few years ago a relative was compensated for tripping over a paving stone which wasn’t level. I see from The Star people have started putting in claims for accidents due to the state of the roads. It doesn’t bear thinking how much it’s going to cost.
I’ll be their advisor: “Get the roads repaired.” That advice is for nowt, as we say in Yorkshire. And don’t say you can’t afford it if you can pay advisors £3.5m!
