I am at a loss as to why money can not be spent on housing which is an urgent need in Sheffield instead of improving shops. As you rightly put it ‘shops on London Road’ could benefit from the project’.
These will be revamped in a £600,000 bid to make it a ‘destination for visitors’.
The owners of these shops can see they need repair but it’s easier to let them run down instead of rolling up their sleeves and getting the job done.
These are not people who are not making money or they would not be in business.
Darnall and Spital Hill have already benefited, how strange Deerlands has not been upgraded or Margetson. Is it just certain areas that are given a spring clean?
