Hunt for killer gunman continues after shooting in Sheffield

The hunt for a killer gunman in Sheffield is continuing this morning with nobody yet charged over a shooting which left one man dead.

Aseel Al-Essaie, aged 23, was gunned down in Daniel Hill, Upperthorpe, on Saturday, February 18.

He had arrived for a family gathering to celebrate his twin sister's engagement when he was shot in his chest.

Mr Al-Essaie was rushed to the Northern General Hospital but could not be saved.

Five arrests have been made over the shooting, with a 22-year-old man held on suspicion of murder before being released on bail.

A 30-year-old man and two boys, aged 16 and 15, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and were also bailed along with a 57-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders.
