Hunt for car in petrol thefts

POLICE are looking for a car believed to have been used in a series of thefts from petrol stations in North Derbyshire.

A blue Volvo S40 has been used with several different number plates to drive off without paying for fuel at garages in Dronfield, Clay Cross and Alfreton between May and September.

The most recent theft happened at 5pm on September 24 when the car drove off from a Jet garage on Main Road, Stretton, without paying for fuel. The vehicle is around 10 years old and has a large spoiler on the back.
