HUNDREDS of residents flocked to Rotherham’s annual Fun Fest, put on free every year for the Eastwood community.

The event was held at Eldon Playing Fields, with organisers arranging a programme of entertainment which included Laser Quest and a funfair.

There was also a climbing wall as well as live entertainment, food stalls, arts and crafts and henna tattooing.

The event was organised by the Eastwood Village Community Association and was supported by partners including Guinness Northern Counties, Rotherham Council, South Yorkshire Police, Chevin and South Yorkshire housing associations.

Brian Hamlin, community investment manager for Guinness Northern Counties, said: “This was the seventh annual Fun Fest and every year it gets bigger and better. We hope everyone had a great time.”
