IS this the world’s smallest living garden?

The people at Sheffield company Ronseal think it might be.

The company’s marketing manager Kate Hodge is pictured at the launch of the company’s world record attempt to create the smallest living garden.

The miniature 8.5 x 20 inch garden has been especially made for the woodcare manufacturer’s Urban Gardens Week 2011, by Yorkshire garden designer Chris Young.

The awareness week from April 11 to 18 aims to encourage people living in towns and cities to make the most of their outdoor spaces.

Ronseal’s miniature garden – containing a small deck plus plants including heathers, thyme, geraniums and a bonsai tree – is designed to show urbanites they can enjoy a garden, even if they live in an apartment block.
