PLANS for three homes are to be approved by a council despite objections by a neighbouring resident and three councillors.
Pearl Developments has applied for permission to build the three-bedroom houses, car parking and landscaping off Chesterfield Road in Dronfield.
North East Derbyshire Council’s planning board has been recommended to pass the application at its meeting on Tuesday.
But opponents – the resident, three councillors and Dronfield Town Council – were concerned the plans would have an impact on road safety and overdevelop the site.
North East Derbyshire Council planning officers said the proposal was ‘in keeping with the site and its surroundings’ and that there would be no major impact on highway safety.
