PLANS to designate 15 areas of green space for new homes across Sheffield have been criticised by opposition Liberal Democrats.
Coun David Baker, whose ward includes Worrall where two sites are earmarked despite a local outcry, said: “I doubt stretched local services could cope. Meanwhile, plans for a site in Labour-voting Tinsley have been dropped.”
Graves Park Coun Ian Auckland said: “I’m disappointed the council intends to force through plans for housing on green sites in Norton and Woodseats.
“Other local sites are available for development.”
