A SHEFFIELD estate agency is boosting a city charity by donating one per cent of the commission it receives from house sales.
Family-run firm Bloor & Co is helping Neurocare – which raises money for the Neurosciences Department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital – after the brother of the company’s owner suffered a severe brain injury. Adrian Bloor, now 44, who is brother of co-owner Nigel Bloor, was treated at the Hallamshire’s neurosciences ward six years ago after a bike accident between Fox House and Dore.
Joanne Bloor, Nigel’s wife and managing partner of the company, said: “The care he received was fantastic and he would not have survived without it.
“We started our fundraising last year and money from completed house sales is now starting to come through regularly for Neurocare.”
