PLANS for a side extension to a house in a Sheffield village have been approved – despite objections from neighbours.
Nearby residents, Ecclesfield Parish Council and Grenoside Conservation Society had opposed the proposals for a two-storey side extension, front porch, rear garage and roof alterations.
The scheme involves a house on Cinder Hill Lane, Grenoside.
People living nearby felt the scheme was ‘out of proportion’ and were concerned about the impact on drains, which are shared with neighbours. The parish council and conservation society raised concerns about the scale of the development.
Sheffield Council’s west and north planning board decided the scheme was ‘acceptable’ and in line with planning policies.
