FIREFIGHTERS investigating a house blaze in which a man died say the cause was most likely accidental.
The man, named locally as Leslie Robinson and aged in his sixties, died after the blaze on Woodhall Road, Darfield, Barnsley, on Tuesday.
Temporary area manager Mick Mason said: “We think the fire is almost certainly accidental.
“It started in the dining room and kitchen. We think it may have been the result of a gas fire being on and clothing or papers near the fire.”
