A SHOPPING centre is dedicating next year to helping sick children across South Yorkshire.
Meadowhall has announced that it will be supporting The Children’s Hospital Charity, based in Sheffield, as its chosen charity of the year for 2013.
Bosses have pledged their support to boosting the charity’s Make it Better campaign, which aims to raise £20m towards a transformation of Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Fundraising got off to an early start with Meadowhall’s Christmas light switch-on, which raised over £6,000.
Darren Pearce, Meadowhall director, said: “The Children’s Hospital Charity works tirelessly to support thousands of patients and their families. We’re very pleased to announce that we will help support their campaign over the next 12 months.”
