Hospital eyes recognition
EYE specialists at a Sheffield hospital have won national recognition for their glaucoma detection and monitoring service.
Experts at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital scooped the Allergan Glaucoma Achievement Award for their screening programme designed to pick up the early signs of the condition so treatment can be as effective as possible.
The hospital's Glaucoma Unit also offers regular monitoring for people at risk of developing the condition.
