A CHARITY caring for the terminally ill has received a generous £15,000 donation.

Rotherham Hospice has used the money given to it by Sheffield-based Westfield Health to buy a new wheelchair-accessible minibus to transport patients from their home to the charity’s Day Hospice.

The Day Hospice cares for more than 250 adults a year from the age of 18.

Day Hospice Sister, Margaret Ellis, said: “The bus has provided us with a lasting valuable resource in the community and most importantly it will provide the people with a service that will give some comfort and benefit when they are suffering through very difficult times.”
