CHRISTMAS puddings made by a Sheffield hospice have been recalled after ‘an issue’ was found with a batch.
St Luke’s Hospice, Whirlow, is offering a refund or replacement to anyone who has purchased one of its Christmas puddings this year.
Puddings made in the hospice kitchens have been on sale at the St Luke’s charity shops and the hospice reception since mid-November, with proceeds going to help fund patient care.
About 50 have been sold, but the puddings have now been withdrawn from sale.
Anyone who has bought one is advised to return it to the point of purchase.
Sarah Coleman, St Luke’s hotel services development manager, said: “We suspect there may be an issue with one of the ingredients used.
“We are sorry to have to issue this recall.”
